[...]. The only thing I would complain about was that my headboard had a small scrape on it upon arrival. It can only be seen at a sharp angle so I let it go. The assembly directions are not crystal clear, but anyone with a half a brain will get there. Very handsome bed indeed.

This is a really nice bed. It's made with really good quality wood and the headboard is heavy and solid. The color of the wood is beautiful, and the quality of the wood adds to the amazing look of it. I would recommend this to anyone, especially for a modern/contemporary look.

This is a great looking, sturdy bed.
[...] The pieces are all high-density stuff, not the flaky [...] kindling. It looks better than i had hoped, and the finish is nice and rich. The photo makes it look like the headboard curves "back" at the edges -- it is really the top of it which reclines a bit, and the "bat-ears" give it the appearance of being curved.The assembly instructions were pretty primitive and omitted a few tricky details. I also found it much better to assemble the footboard to the rails first, then attach that to the headboard (i was working solo). The instructions suggest the opposite. If you are not a person who looks at exploded views and makes sense out of incomplete assembly instructions for a living, you will probably go down a few dead ends before you get this thing together. Just don't force anything -- it all fits perfectly if you're doing it right.Construction is generally solid and over-built, although the legs at the footboard end, i feel, could be more rigorously attached (pinned and -maybe- glued). The slats come banded together with nylon webbing, which makes installing and aligning them MUCH easier than if they were loose. You will want a power screwdriver for the slat installation.
