
Sharon and Lawrence Tarantino formed Tarantino Studio in 2001 to bring together the diverse aspects of their practices, offering clients the full breath of their experience in product design. In 2003, the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design, one of the most important design competitions worldwide, honored Tarantino Studio with the “Good Design” Award. They have shown pieces at the Carnegie Museum and Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan.
The couple introduced the EVA Children’s Collection at the 2002 International Contemporary Furniture Fair in New York City. Time Magazine selected the chair as one of the "Coolest Inventions of 2002," and the collection toured with the Vitra Design Museum throughout Europe and Japan before settling at the Carnegie Museum of Art.
