In the midst of the modern design movement in the 1960s, Warren Platner turned a simple concept into a creative masterpiece--transforming steel wire into a unique and supremely modern sculptural furniture collection--the Platner Tables. This classic table will surely make quite a statement in your dining room.

The Design

Designed in 1966, the Platner Dining Table is truly a unique piece. Considered by many to be a design icon of the modern era, the Platner Table's harmonious forms are created by welding curved vertical steel wire rods to circular frames, producing a moiré effect.

While this table may look like more of a sculpture than actual table--rest assured this dining table is perfect for your modern dining room. Choose either the Arabescatto coated marble finish for a more formal look or the more versatile clear glass top. All metal components are finished in bright nickel with a clear lacquer protective coating. The Platner Dining Table with the clear glass tabletop is GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certified®.
