Seven Arm Chair by Michiel van der Kley

When, while studying history, Michiel van der Kley (1962) became interested with the design of the 1920's, and he decided to start designing himself. Since 1987, he has worked for manufacturers at home and abroad, including Artifort. Van der Kley produces designs with a great eye for detail, from which, he says, the object derives its individuality.

The Seven Arm chair, designed by Michiel van der Kley, can be used as contract seating and due to its simple design will look great in lobbies, lounges and anywhere seating is necessary. The stitching at the upper side of the back accents the round shape of the inside part of the back. With these subtle details in upholstery and with nicely finished feet, the design reaches a high level of elegance.
