In 1997, René Holten made the DoDo, his first design for Artifort that immediately secured him the prize for the best Dutch Furniture Design in 1998. Now, Holten has stamped his mark indelibly on the Artifort collection. He likes the sober, clean design of the company's seating. Holten (1961) trained at the Design Academy in Eindhoven.

The Mare Sofa will fit both modern and classical surroundings perfectly! Timeless and extremely comfortable, this sofa is available in several fabric and leather upholstery options. The tightly upholstered cushions combined with the cleverly designed slim legs make this sofa transparent and emphasize the design. The legs are an endless part of the sofa, which continue between the arm and frame and the slightly higher frame on the back looks different from every angle. No matter where it is placed, this sofa will look perfect even free-standing.
