Isobel Sofa by Michiel van der Kley

While studying history, Michiel van der Kley (1962) became interested with the design of the 1920's and he decided to start designing himself. Since 1987, he has worked for manufacturers at home and abroad, including Artifort. Van der Kley produces designs with a great eye for detail, from which he says the object derives its individuality.

A fashionable statement, the Isobel is a two-faced sofa with a unique design. The embracing arm supports within the armrests compose a comfortable couch. The arm supports pop out of the armrests giving the sofa an open, transparent look while adding two functional pillows to its comfort. No-sag springs combined with PUR foam and a Dacron layer guarantee relaxed seating and longevity. Designed by Michiel van der Kley and available in two widths as well as several fabric and leather upholstery options, this sofa is a truly brilliant design.
